Which three-wheelers are Class 3?
Class 3 covers three-wheeled vehicles weighing no more than 450 kg unladen. That includes many older three-wheeled cars, small three-wheeled vans and trikes. Three-wheelers heavier than 450 kg unladen are tested as Class 4 instead.

A Class 3 MOT follows the same principles as a car or motorcycle test, adapted to the vehicle: brakes and parking brake, steering, suspension, wheels and tyres, lights and indicators, seatbelts where fitted, the body and frame, exhaust and emissions, the fuel system, horn, mirrors, wipers and the registration plates.
