MOT questions

How much is an MOT in Telford?
A car MOT (Class 4) is £45 at Madeley Testing Station in Dawley. Motorcycles are £28, three-wheelers £37.80, and minibuses and large vans £55. The retest is free within 10 working days. See every price.
How long does an MOT take?
Most car MOTs take about 45 minutes to an hour. You're welcome to wait in our lounge with a hot drink, or drop the car off and we'll ring you when it's done.
Can I MOT my car early?
Yes. You can have the MOT up to a month (less a day) before it runs out and keep the same renewal date. For example, if your MOT runs out on 15 May, you can have it tested from 16 April and the new one will still run to 15 May next year.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just the vehicle and its locking wheel nut key if it has one. The MOT record is held online by DVSA, so you don't need your old certificate or the V5C.
